Recently the Torrance Police Officers Association (TPOA), an employee group made up of active duty police officers, supervisors and managers, began its 2003 Annual Drive fundraising campaign. This fundraiser is an effort by TPOA to gather resources for Association needs. The monies TPOA collects are distributed to benefit Association membership and manage the many community programs the Association sponsors or supports.

Residents should be aware that all authorized TPOA fundraising in this campaign is being completed using a direct mail approach. No telephone or in-person solicitations of donations are sanctioned by the TPOA for this 2003 fundraising program.

This fundraising program is an independent effort of TPOA; as such it is managed by that organization's board of directors and membership. Please be aware that if you should receive a phone call asking to pick up a donation, it is not TPOA calling. 

Again, we will not call or contact you in any way. This fundraising program is administered neither by the City of Torrance, nor by the Torrance Police Department.
