The City of Torrance has taken a proactive approach to Emergency Services, Homeland Security and Disaster Preparedness. The City has a superior Emergency Plan in place that has been modeled under the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) and we are prepared to deal with any situation that arises.
An important part of the City's Emergency Plan is mitigation. The City is working hard to put, and keep, components of our Emergency Plan in place now so that in the event of a natural or man-made disaster there will be a reduction in the loss of life, injuries and damage to property.
The following links are provided by the Emergency Services Division so that you can be better informed and prepared to deal with any incident that arises. Should you have any questions about what you can do to prepare your business, your family or yourself to deal with an emergency, please contact Emergency Services Coordinator Andrew G. Pachon at (310) 618-5725.
