THE ATTIC CAFÉ

THE ATTIC CAFÉ is situated inside THE ATTIC and sells and assortment of inexpensive light meals, snacks and beverages, which is available after school.  Surrounding THE ATTIC CAFÉ is a comfortable setting of tables and chairs that give students the opportunity to study or hangout.  This wonderful atmosphere will provide for a variety of entertainment and games that everyone can enjoy.

VOLUNTEER CAFÉ TRAINING PROGRAM

THE ATTIC CAFÉ is seeking responsible high school students to participate in a Volunteer Cafe Training Program sponsored by the Recreation Services Division.  The Café Training Program is designed to provide the participants with on the job training in the food service business.  Participants will have an excellent opportunity to serve the community and receive food service and customer service training experiences in a café setting. 

The Training program consists of 6 days (20 hours) of instruction in such areas as customer service, basic food preparation and food handling procedures and restaurant/café policies and valuable leadership skills. After completion of this training, volunteers serve for 8 weeks assisting Recreation Café Staff.  Volunteers are limited to 3-5 days per week of service, a total of 150 hours. Participants will receive a name badge to be worn during service hours.
