Torrance Aikido Club (Chief Instructor, Clarence Chinn Sensei, Rokudan), offers instruction in contemporary martial arts based on the coordination of mind and body. The club meets on Mondays & Wednesdays at the Cultural Arts Center; Youths at 6:45 pm, Adults at 8:00 pm. On Tuesdays & Thursdays the club meets at the El Retiro Park Rotary Building; youth at 6:45 pm and Adults at 7:45 pm. Quarterly fee: $75 for adults and $45 for children. Family discounts are available.

Artists Guild
The Torrance Artist Guild is a non-profit fine arts organization that recognizes all media of paintings, printmaking, photography, and sculpture. It was formed for the cultivation and advancement of art and to promote art awareness in our community. the general meetings are held the second week of each month at 7:00 pm, after a short business meeting, a guest demonstrating artist or speaker is featured. Admission is free. Yearly dues are $25 or $35 for member and spouse. The guild will host "Art by the Beach" at Miramar Park the first Sunday of each month from April through October. Craftsmen's Guild
Torrance Craftsmen's Guild promotes interest in arts and crafts and the exchange of artistic ideas. Members include jewelers, woodcrafters, ceramists, metal sculptors and doll makers. Meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Ken Miller Recreation Center. Annual membership fee is $30. If you're a Crafter, please consider joining the Torrance Craftsmen's Guild. The Guild is a non-profit organization. Money raised is used to provide scholarships for eligible high school seniors in Torrance. Call Hovette Ellis at 562.634.0903 for further information.
Dog Obedience Club
The Dog Obedience Club of Torrance conducts Tuesday night classes year round at Walteria Park, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Contact Instructor Rick Jacoby after 5:30 pm at (310) 329-0202. Classes are 10 weeks long and cost $50.00 per session, payable at the first class session. Dog owners must be at least 16 years of age and the dog six months or older must be on a leash. No dogs the first class night.
The Dog Obedience Club has their monthly meetings on the first Thursday on each month at 7:30 pm and all guests are welcome to attend. NO dogs at these meetings.
Fencing Club
The Torrance Fencing Club provides instruction in the European-style of fencing and the opportunity to enter competition. Youths meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm Adults meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm Classes meet at the George Nakano Theatre. Equipment fee is $2 and applies to adults only.

Judo Club
An Olympic sport popular all around the world. Fee is $105* for 10 weeks (20 classes)

Judo the "Gentle Way" is a way of Life. We provide a physical and mental education of the mind and body by combining an excellent physical workout that increases stamina and physical conditioning that builds strength, endurance, and physical toughness. Learn to defend yourself. From the mental aspects of Judo, you can learn discipline, build respect for yourself and peers. The Judo class instructors are all certified USJF/USJI teachers and qualified black belts. Head Instructor: Ed Shiosaki-4 Dan.
Classes are on Tuesday's and Thursday's at the Wilson Park Gymnasium. Class times are: New and Beginning Students (ages 6 - 12 years old) meet from 6:00 - 7:15pm, Intermediate/Advance Juniors, Youth and Adult Students (ages 13 years old +) meet from 7:15 pm - 8:30 pm. Kendo Club
The Kendo Club teaches the skillful use of the sword, as well as mental and physical self-control and self-development. Open to youths (8 years of age and older) and adults. Beginning class meets on Tuesdays from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm Intermediate and advanced classes meet on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm Classes are held at the Cultural Arts Center. Naginata Club
The Naginata Club offers instruction in the ancient martial art of Naginata (pole-art). Naginata has developed into an international art form, and teaches not only physical technique, but mental awareness, concentration, etiquette, and self-development. Instruction is offered to juniors (10 and above) and adults. The Club meets on Thursdays from 7:30 pm - 8:45 pm (beginners) and 7:30 - 9:30 pm (Intermediate/Advanced) in Studio 1 at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center.
