AT&T U-verse
AT&T's Television Service "Project Lightspeed" is coming to Torrance...
AT&T, a State Franchise Holder for video services, will be installing above-ground power supplies (cabinets) in over one hundred (100+) City of Torrance right-of-way locations beginning in 2008 through 2009. Cabinet dimensions shall not exceed 48" high x 49" deep x 41" long. AT&T will only offer this new service within their current service territory, east of Madrona/Prairie.
The City of Torrance Engineering staff will make every effort to ensure the least intrusive location for the cabinets. Owners of properties adjacent to these locations will receive notifications from AT&T prior to work beginning. Homeowners will have the opportunity to meet with Engineering staff and AT&T representatives should there be any questions regarding the cabinet locations. Property owners may also contact the City of Torrance Community Development Department Engineering Permits & Records with any questions/concerns, at 310.618.5898.
