Dan Walker, Mayor : E-mail Dan Walker was elected to his first term as Mayor in 2002. Prior to serving as Mayor, he served on the City Council from 1978-92 and 1994-02. Mayor Walker is currently a delegate to the South Bay Cities Council of Governments, the Los Angeles County Sanitation District and the South Bay Economic Development Partnership. Prior to his service on the City Council, Mayor Walker served on the Planning Commission from 1975-77. Community involvement includes service in the Los Angeles Regional Quality Control Board and Friends of Child Advocates Board of Directors. Mayor Walker is a business consultant.
