MAY 15 - 17, 2009

Our nation's men and women of the military forces have defended our country, insured our freedom, and upheld the beliefs and principles that this great nation was built on.  In May 2009, the City of Torrance continues its long-standing tradition and marks the 50th consecutive year it has been hosting an Armed Forces Day Celebration and Parade to honor the sacrifices of our nation's past and present military.

This year, the City once again honors the men and women of our nation's military with a three-day celebration that begins on Friday, May 15 and continues through Sunday, May 17.  The Parade highlight is on Saturday, May 16, and this year's honored branch is the United States Navy.  The City of Torrance is proud to help honor and thank the men and women of our nation's Armed Forces!
