LIBRARY NOTICES

• ALL Torrance Libraries will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day, and Thursday through Sunday, November 26-29, for Thanksgiving.  All Torrance Libraries will close at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25. 
  
  
• Branch library refurbishment - The Henderson Library will have an Open House at the branch on Thursday, November 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  
  The Walteria Library will close on November 12 for approximately three months for its renovation project.
  

• The Katy Geissert Civic Center Library is open on select Sundays from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. through June 2010
  

The Torrance Public Library is committed to providing materials and services in a variety of formats that satisfy the educational, informational, recreational and cultural needs of our diverse community.  The Library supports lifelong independent learning and the individual's need for current, popular and informational materials.  Torrance Public Library serves as a center for community information, services and activities.  A trained and helpful staff uses traditional and innovative methods and technologies to provide quality collections, efficient services, and programs in easily accessible locations throughout the community.
