Welcome the Joslyn Fine Arts Gallery, the South Bay's most extensive resource for the interpretation of the visual arts.
The Joslyn Fine Arts Gallery is a municipal gallery located at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center in the City of Torrance. The Gallery encourages all people to develop and increase their understanding and appreciation for modern and contemporary artwork via a variety of exhibitions offered in its three gallery spaces, as well as educational programs, artist talks, lectures, and symposiums. The Gallery also serves as a site for local community arts groups to display and promote artistic expression in the South Bay.
About the renovation:
At the present moment, the 9,200 square foot Joslyn Center building is undergoing a major renovation of it interior. The firm of Renzo Zecchetto Architects has re-envisioned the Joslyn dramatically. Their design is being carried out by Abeam General Construction.
The results will be exciting! While once there was a single 2,922 square foot gallery, two auxiliary exhibition spaces have been added. A gallery store, an arts resource center and slide registry will be created as well. This extensive renovation will be completed in early October 2004. Watch for the first of many exciting art exhibitions in January 2005!
