Governing Code: TMC Division 1, Chapter 3, Article 10, Sections 13.10.1 13.10.8
The Civil Services Commission, through its staff, is responsible for all examinations for the original selection and promotion of City employees; it acts as a board of review in all employee disciplinary matters when applicants dispute the results of employment tests or pre-employment medical examinations; it reviews complaints regarding employment matters where discrimination may be an issue. The Commission is advisory to the City Council.
