Description:
This project will construct improvements to Torrance Boulevard between Sartori Avenue to the west City limit, approximately 3.5 miles.  Work will include the installation of new storm drains and catch basins, pavement reconstruction and overlay, and replacement of damaged or "uplifted" concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk.  The project budget is $6M for the street rehabilitation and $903,000 for the storm drain improvements.  The design phase was completed in May 2008 and construction of the storm drains began in August 2008.  The street rehabilitation work will begin in October 2008 and will require 14 months to complete.
