General Plan Update
April 1, 2007

The Elements, or chapters, of the General Plan are in the process of being drafted. These Elements will incorporate public input from various meetings held throught the update process.

To finalize a draft of the General Plan, City staff is continuing to seek input from the City's residential community. On March 28, 2007, the City met with the Coalition of Torrance Homeowner Associations to receive input on and discuss residential neighborhoods in Torrance and on goals to be included in the General Plan. Subsequently, meetings with individual Homeowner Associations are being set up to allow for input from specific residential neighborhoods.

Once the elements are completed and a draft version of the General Plan is in place, the public will have another opportunity to comment on the City's plan for the future through a General Plan Open House. Check back for more details.
