City of Torrance
Office of the City Clerk

The mission of the City Clerk's office is to serve the citizens of Torrance by maintaining the official records of the City and making them readily accessible to all; to conduct fair and impartial municipal elections; and to promote increased involvement in the processes of government.

In 2008, voting has a new look in California with the following election dates:

  • November 4, 2008 is the Presidential General Election.

  • Voter Registration Deadline for the November 4, 2008 Election is October 20, 2008.
  • June 3, 2008 was a statewide direct primary election and the Torrance General Municipal Election.

Save the dates and remember to vote! You need to be registered at least 15 days prior to an election. If you have moved, changed your name or wish to change political affiliation, you must re-register. Postage-paid registration forms are available at the City Clerk's Office located at 3031 Torrance Boulevard.
